Music Friday: January

Typically I include the music that made me happy each month in my monthly review posts, but I think this year I’m going to do it a little differently so those posts aren’t so terribly long. Since I always post music on Friday’s on FB, Tumblr, and Twitter, dubbed “Music Friday,” I’m going to pull my absolute favorites from the month and start posting them in their own post here on the last Friday of the month. This way those of you who are only interested in the music aspect of my monthly reviews don’t have to be bored with all my other life achievements (or failures – eh).

So, what exactly graced my ears in January? Too much to share it all, honestly. But I’ll post the top 5 played tracks and link you to some more! ENJOY!

Deftones – “Gauze”
Lindsey Stirling – “Stars Align”
Silversun Pickups – “Simmer”
KB – “Church Clap”
ZZ Ward – “Put the Gun Down”

Other songs that lived on repeat in January include

Jack White – “Sixteen Saltines”

Bruno Mars – “Locked out of Heaven”
Thousand Foot Krutch – “Let the Sparks Fly”
Three – “Pretty”
We Are the Fallen – “Burn”
Paramore – “Now”
Relief in Sleep – “Revelation”
Stateless – “Bloodstream”
The Dandy Warhols – “Sad Vacation”
The Head and the Heart – "Down in the Valley"

If you’re really into music like me, and would like to see music related posts more often than a once a month recap here, perhaps you should follow me on Tumblr. There are some Friday’s where Music Friday doesn’t happen, but it’s not often. I also love music suggestions so feel free to send me something you think I might like!
