It’s been a long time since I posted pics of my books… I guess since we’re 4 months into the year, I’ll aim for quarterly posts regarding my book purchases in 2011.

I’m doing amazingly well restraint wise in comparison to my book purchasing ways in 2010. Since January I’ve only purchased and received the following books (most of which were bought with gift cards and or groupon deals): CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS (Mortal Instruments, Book 4) by Cassandra Clare, FIRE (Graceling, Book 2) by Kristin Cashore, I AM NUMBER FOUR by Pictorus Lore, INVINCIBLE: CHRONICLES OF NICK by Sherrilyn Kenyon, UNEARTHLY (Unearthly, Book 1) by Cynthia Hand, DEMONGLASS by Rachel Hawkins, TRAPPED by Michael Northrop, DARKEST MERCY (Wicked Lovely, Book 5) by Melissa Marr, HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS (Dreamhouse Kings, Book 1) by Robert Liparulo, DAUGHTERS OF THE MOON, Vol. 2 by Lynne Ewing, DARKFEVER (Fever Series, Book 1) by Karen Marie Moning, and KITTY AND THE MIDNIGHT HOUR (Kitty Norville, Book 1) by Carrie Vaughn.

Of these books I’ve only read I AM NUMBER FOUR by Pictorus Lore, INVINCIBLE: CHRONICLES OF NICK by Sherrilyn Kenyon, DEMONGLASS by Rachel Hawkins, and TRAPPED by Michael Northrop so far, but that’s because I’ve also been reading books from the 40+ I received for Christmas.

I’m amazed at how much restraint I’ve grown over the last year in comparison to buying books the way I was back in 2010, but with as many as there are existing in my to-be-read pile already the guilt in buying more when I *don’t actually need them* has finally laid into me thick. Most of the books I plan to buy this year will be “must haves” and/or series continuations so that I don’t overdo it spending wise, but I will report back in the next 4 months with what I’ve splurged on when it comes to books.

What books have you guys bought this year?

Peace – Sarah
